R Robinson Wins Case

Good result all round. The eels administration is showing some backbone at last--all credit to them. But this time last year they would have done sweet fanny adams for their own players. I think credit goes to members of this site who have been urging the administration to take action with lawyer back up. The administration has now gone in to fight for their players on two occassions. They have won one and lost one. Keep up the fight and, as I have said, pester the life out of them to we get a fair go.

  • Good stuff, shame sanity didn't prevail on the Paulo case.

  • I bet that piss of the NRL  off

  • Mate, I've got a little bit of an inside into the judiciary process. Players are always represented at the judiary, usually by senior counsel (barrister) and a solicitor. I'd suggest that the club would get senior counsel advice on all charges, every week. It's standard practice for most clubs.
Anyways, thought you might find that interesting (if you don't already know it). Thanks mate.
    •  I did not know that Nutcracker. Thanks for the info. Our club should know that but I might give them a reminder of it . Just to keep their mind on the job of representing their own players.

    • Nutcracker is correct. The club always gets legal advice and representation.
  • That's great news Reece Lightning back in, bring on the dangerous tigers now
  •  Yes, but the club has not always supported their own players. That is, the club has accepted the findings of the judiciary and the plays do time. Now, it seems they will go into bat for their own players and have had with success with Reece Robinson.  There may be a sting in the tail though : Is the club only now supporting their own players because of the upcoming elections? Supporting payers means more votes? We will see.
