Question?

Ill make it short and sweet. If 1 or more board members either stood down or get pushed out who takes there position? Would it go to the next highest vote getters from the previous election? If so, wasnt the next highest vote getter Mark 'piggy' Riddell?

  • Fantastic question . I have no idea
  • The Board can operate with 4 members only.
    • Could you imagine the quality of those 4?

      Talk about world beaters Mutt.

    • Fong you really are a massive tool sometimes mate. You think me being on the Members Council affords me some special privileges that I'm desperate to keep? Get a clue.
I get to attend a meeting every 6 weeks which goes for a couple of hours. For my trouble that usually order a few pizzas. That's it. If you're so jealous just message me and you can take my place.
  • No, the NRL will work it so that doesnt happen and if one board member goes, more will go, i'd tip the whole board will go if evidence of any sort of rorting is found to be true, so it wont be a matter of 1 or two people coming on, some sort of care taker board will be put in place probably with 1 or 2 nrl reps for the time being.

Having said that im not exactly sure of the process thats going to happen, Phil would be the best person to ask as he's usually clued up on this sort of stuff.

Theres no way the NRL will open the way for more factionalism straight away.

    • If evidence of any sort of rorting? Isn't there a mile of evidence already? Phone and email records along with signed minutes from board meetings?
  • We will find out in a week exactly what evidence has been found Slippery, im not sure what they have, but id guess the leaked media documents are the least of our worries, im more worried about what the NRL knows that the media doesnt.

If all they have is what the media have thats the absolute best case scenario and i dont think they can destroy our season for that but if their investigation is worth its salt they will have a lot more than that.

Lets not forget they spoke to Scott Seward last week.

    • Why would Seward implicate himself, Snake? If he reveals all of the Eels' dirty secrets then he's also admitting to playing a very significant role in the cheating, maybe even as one of the chief architects. He can't say that Eels are guilty but then insist he had minimal part in it. No one would believe that. If the Eels are proven guilty then it makes Seward look very shady as the club's CEO during the time under investigation. He's putting his own career at risk if he comes clean.

  • We could see these guys!!!
