Ive been saying it for years, the QLD cup is so overrated by QLDers, look what happens when they have to play NSW sides, same as last year, an embarrassing flogging for the QLD side..
Guys like Fogarty who you could see had absolutely nothing after watching him play a game were talked up by QLD fans, but when push comes to shove they simply wernt up to it and completely overrated..
HUGE PNG fan here, sad to see them getting embarrassed today but it was always on the cards, the gulf between the best NSW cup teams and the best QLD cup teams is HUGE, thats a proven fact now..
So lets get over this QLD cup MYTH, i heard some idiot stating it was a better comp than English SL the other day, delusional to say the least.
The QLD cup is a joke, games like this prove that.

I've been spending the whole match scouting for tall rangy mobile forwards for us haha. Thought PNG would surely have some one that fits the bill... but nah.. I likey #15 Kikua panthers.
Its men vs boys out there Mace, this PNG side would have seriously struggled in the NSW comp, theres no way they would have won much in it, or been there today.
It just shows how poor the QLD cup is that they were able to get so far, they are little blokes too.

Know the panthers weren't up against much with the overawed png side, but they do have a few eye catching mobile rangy forwards that we could perhaps use?

The problem with Queensland is that it's basically Australia's version of Alabama. The state is lagging behind the rest of the country in areas such as proper hygiene, grooming and cultural development. It is now pretty much a backwater.
Their rugby league suffers the same issues and is well off the pace. Sure, they win the State of Origin every year, but that is only because no one gives a f**k about it except for Queenslanders (it's the poor bastard's highlight of the year) and NSW agreed some years back to let them win it every year for the good of the game. The only reason NSW "won" a series a couple years back is because even the poor simple minded Queenslanders were getting bored. Same with the Broncos - they are given an armchair ride in the NRL - without it they wouldn't be able to compete with the great Sydney clubs.
It would probably be best to have the PNG lads play out of Sydney from now on - the poor buggers will only be held back in Queensland. They don't even have daylight savings ffs.
So glad I live in Sydney. The Olympic City. The World city. Australia's and indeed the Southern Hemisphere's premier city :)
