I remember Stan "The man", he was a good player for Parra & it was a terrible run of injuries that he had in those last few years.
I laughed when Stan said "Terry Leabeater gave me a receipt later in the game" for when Stan busted his face up with his fist earlier in the match. And how he won himself plenty of cartons of beer off blokes over 40 metres in his time hahaha. And how his teammates say Stan holds the Rugby League record for end of season trips after he was sent back to his missus after just 1 day because he went too hard & too quickly on the grog lol.
How different were those times compared to now ? But he's right, the modern players are missing having those senior players around to sort them out if they ever stepped out of line during those ever decreasing bonding sessions. Reni Maitua was trying to be that senior player around a year ago and got king hit (allbeit accidentally apparently)when he tried to pull an under 20's player into line when he was being a goose. The under 20's player had his contract shredded very quickly after that. That incident shows how times have changed.
"That's a shame can't hear what's happening. Just be good to start looking to the future with someone new next year and not waiting on a signing that's a long way till it happens.
Brown is trash without Moses enjoy that signing Newcastle. Even the…"
"This from last weekend. Haze Dunster — unseen at NRL level for two years after a string of injury problems —had a day out for the Eels, scoring a double and getting four linebreaks, a linebreak assist, seven tackle busts and 209 running metres."

Yes ,good years and good memories from SJ. He didn`t say that he often worked at Peter Wynne`s--may still do so from time to time .
