Q&A - Tepai Moeroa

http://www.parraeels.com.au/news/2015/07/25/blue_and_gold_q_a_te.html

Earlier this week, we asked the Blue and Gold Army through our Facebook and Twitter social media channels for question suggestions to ask Dyldam Parramatta Eels forward Tepai Moeroa.

The Blue and Gold sent in dozens of topics to quiz Moeroa on, ranging from his NRL debut, wearing the #blueandgold, comparisons to Nathan Hindmarsh and his hair care tips plus many more topics!

  • I like Moeroa, hasn't quite had the impact he did last year but maybe that's because he was new and shinney. Hope he has a good pre season and get rid of his injuries.
  • Tepai is one of a number of the squad playing busted. Wicks, Taka and Choc have been the most obvious but they're not on their own. Wicks and Chocolate have battled on until they couldn't avoid operations. These blokes have been touching it out and to be honest our injury list could easily be longer.
  • I genuinely fear that we're not managing teps properly we seriously should consider resting him for the rest of the season

    • Mack, I hear that he is heading to the middle. As for his form, he is a very young NRL forward. He's played much more time on the field than was originally planned. It's not ideal but he's learning about being tough. It will stand him in good stead for his move to the middle.
    • He needs to stay out wide. He's got all the skills to be one of the most damaging wide ball runners. Let's not cut his career short like they did Hindmarsh. Keep him out wide.
  • With our cap situation are we able to have Tep on the sidelines? If we weren't in such significant drama I'd say he would have played 70% of the games he's played this year.
    • P.s I think we have one of the best front-row rotations if we move Tep there. Good go-forward whilst also being very strong defensively. Would hold down the middle very well alongside Choc and whoever we go with on the bench.
  • I agree Efl. He's got too much talent to be wasted as a battering ram. I'd like to see him strip off 5kilos and play out wider. I suspect the big increase he wacked on over last summer may have been caused by his eyes being on the next olympics. Long term if he drops weight we can only benefit.

  • the reason why he is playing average this year is because of his shoulder, ever since round 2 he has had a busted shoulder! that is the one the he "hit" with and makes his tackles. I agree RJ, i would like to see him strip off 5kg and play as more as a wide second rower like he was last year hitting the holes and gaps.

"With AFB now eligible, Haas, May, Utoikamanu, Koloamatangi, hard to see where Barnett fits for NSW."

"I mean we thought a losing battle as Brisbane do have things we currently don't.
1) premiership chances
2) Madge relationship
3) a lot more money

I mentioned my thoughts that i was a little hesitant having Barnett purely on age and coming off…"
