It's time for your ideas and thoughts on ways we can move forward as a football club. It's time to put you Kahunas on the line . Everything from coaching, squad retention and recruitment, board and administration.like the end of a war ,recriminations have started and we're devouring ourselves, supporters turning on each other. So what's the answers?
ive given this plenty of thought throughout the season and here's what I've come up with.
Coaching:As much as I'd like to see us hire Demetriou I don't think it's an option so Madge it is. This is for three years only as he has a tendency to wear thin thereafter.Hes adept at providing junior pathways and building a roster as well as a proven premiership winner.
Assistants:Jason Taylor as attacking coach , his credentials here speak for themselves and Jim Dymock to stiffen up the defense. Taylor can also work with the kickers throughout the club making it a strength.Specialist coaches brought in periodically to work with the squad especially juniors including Buderus,Ennis,Johns and Peter Ryan.
Squad: it's slim pickings this year in the market but Tapau is a must sign. With him up front and the leg speed of Brown,Alvaro,Evans and Terepo our pack suddenly offers a lot of thrust. Kiroisau for penetration from dummy half giving us another point of attack we've been sorely lacking for over a decade. Hipgrave from the Titans, Kennar from Souths who untill injured was playing brilliant with Maumalo for obvious reasons and Katoa from the Sharks. These players with Lane and the rumoured Austin would round out my 2018 purchases.
2019: I'd be making a play for Fischer-Harris, the best back rower in the comp and Tapine from the raiders as well as Waqa Blake from the Panthers. By this stage Tep and Mau are fazed out although I'd love to see how Tep would go in a strong pack with the aggression of the aforementioned. The fact you now have a strong pack it's easier to enter the market for big fast outside backs who in comparison to the rest of your squad are cheaper. This also gives our halves combination more time and space to develop as well as create a better environment for the likes of Mahoney, Brown, Faainga and Kaufusi to develop their games.
Football manager: Probably the most important signing Peter Parr. This is a must he's the best credentialed out there pay him what he wants. If you can hire your football staff now knowing you've got quality personnel you front end long term contracts to beat the nrls future cap on the football departments.
Board and administration: I'll leave that to the more credentialed members to discuss this area isn't my forte.
For what it's worth that's my two cents . I'll be interested in your ideas. It'll make an interesting blog to revisit down the track if we can keep it civil. No more pointing out what's wrong we can all see that more how do we go about rectifying it.

I asked my GF last night if I could Put up and she laughed.
I really don't know what is wrong with that woman.
you got the shut up then Sir Col
Something was shut up mate.
Maybe it's more along the line of "not long enough" or "can't keep it up".
Hope that helps.

We need to recruit quality players of whom we can definitely say without doubt will definitely cement a starting position. Paulo is a start.
Enough of these fringe signings who are mainly hit and miss. Evans Vave Hoffman matagi are prime examples. Lane also isn't what's needed. Players with great potential aged 18 - 22 are also welcomed.
The salary cap is limited so we should only recruit the best and as for back ups - develop from within. No more rubbish signings
You're right Chief - the way Seffa has been playing this year we should be after him.
But who Chief. What players?
