Proud, Win or Lose

I just want to say, that come what may on friday night, I am a damn happy Parramatta supporter this year. Yep it would be great to go all the way, and especially to beat the dogs, but from how things were 11 weeks ago, this year has already exceeded my expectations.. we have had an awesome roll.. the dally m player of the year, a new CEO that people actually like!, Our heroes of old getting back behind the club. A great team that should be even better next year. If we lose this or next weekend, I dont feel I will be as disappointed as the years we did well all season to falter at the end. Having said that, there is no reason we cant win.. and that would be the icing on a great cake!! GO PARRA

    Agree in part, our turn around has been great - love being a parra supporter right now. I have never been as excited to go to a match as this one!!

    But being a parra supporter since the early eighties (when I was born), we need to seize this opportunity NOW!! Having made the preliminary final (one before the GF) in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2005, 2007 & 2009 along with Grand final in 2001 and got no sivlerware to show for it. Nothing less than a Grand Final victory will satisfy me - I am sick of other teams in Grand final when thinking it should be the Eels there and asking the question "what might have been??"

    I love that about Anderson & Hindmarsh this season saying we might as well finish 9th if we get knocked out this week.

    I am being greedy as nothing less than a premiership in 2009 will do.

    And if people say "we will be better in 2010" - that is a cop out. What if hayne does his knee in round 2 and is out for the year and other players go off rails?? Look at the Sharks in 2008 to 2009. We must really ride this wave of emotion and form with a NRL title!!

    What i am saying is we must live for today and win in 2009!! THIS IS OUR YEAR!! COME ON BOYS - do us proud!!

    Relax Stu Eel. This is the start of something special. Eels will be here for MANY years to come now. Players will be queueing up to be part of this dynasty.

    But you are right. Lets start it this year.
