Proud to be a Parra fan.

Sitting here in London and I am hurting like the rest of us but I just wanna say what an honour it is to be amongst everyone here on this site. Good on you 1eyedeel!!!Well the Storm had to play their best game, especially after last years effort. Nuff said about them.Anyway we can hold our heads up so high. Playing sudden death for half a season with a (mostly) young side has been an amazing effort. Melbourne were lucky to cling onto a small lead. We were just getting on a roll but it was all too late. I suppose we will gain a lot from the day even though it is hard to swallow right now. I could go on about the bad calls but I would rather say how bloody proud I am feeling right now. This has been one of our best years ever. The year that Ray Price came back along with many of the old guard!!! A turning point, a hit and spin. The year that Hayne won the Dally M and came of age. The yearThe year that Daniel Anderson joined. The year we had a Mortimer and Reddy in our team. Awesome!!! The year of one of the best front rowers to ever pull on a boot. The year of many unsung heroes playing with passion and pride. Our champion team!!!I was born Parramatta. My Grandmother supported them from day 1. My Mum through the wooden spoon days and the Thornett era. I can remember watching Saints punch the hell out of us in the '77 replay and crying. Me and my family camped outside the SCG in '81, '82, 83 and each year is etched in memory. I defended our team and Jack Gibson when all my mates at school were Manly fans. I was gutted in '84 and '85 and was there at the SCG for the glory of '86. I remember years of frustration and realised what it must have been like for my friends who supported the battler clubs.I loved living on the Gold Coast in the late '90's to go and watch us smash the Broncos.Gutted again in '01 cause I has just moved to England and we blew it.I have been at every Grand Final we have ever won and most we lost, supported us through thick and thin but I don't think I have ever been so proud to be a Parramatta fan as I was last Sunday. We may not have lifted the trophy but a new era has begun.HAIL TO THE PARRAMATTA EELS AND THE BLUE AND GOLD ARMY.
