Prop opportunity

George Burgess is apparently considering moving to Broncos next year due to Salary cap issues at Souths and Seibold and wife’s family in Queensland.

If happens it would likely force a Prop out of Broncos. If not, maybe we could get George

Also Knights have blown their cash on Klemmer so unlikely to get TPJ

  • Broncos have great group of young fowards so why would they give one of them up for Burgess.  They may lack a bit of experience but did sign Shaun fensom to help with the younger players.  They also  have McCullogh at hooker and Gillette back this year so will have enough experience to guide the young pack

  • George will stretch even the Broncos Salary cap and push a prop of the starting position and another off the bench

    • I thought we were after Tom not George - for this year

George’s contract is up next year

    • Or maybe too much juice!

  • No to Lodge or Tagatese. Both are plodders. Haas isnt leaving. That leaves Ofengaue. I say yes at the right price. Im glad we didnt get Burgess. Was great during Souths GF year. Has regressed every year since. Has worse hands than Peni. And Peni's hands are shit. I think he only has one finger on each hand.

    • What about David Fafita?

  • #Proportunity

    • Yeah - should had gone with that as the title- if I had of thought of it
