Also notice that most of the bum teams are near the bottom of each ladder respectively, with the exception of the sharks, but that could mean that they also score a chunk of tries from kicks to their athletic wingers.

Ethyn Martin scored a double in NSW cup. How he manages to score tries is a testiment to his speed. 13 from 11 in Flegg now 2 from 1 on the Wing in Cup.
So the first place Sharks are the 2nd slowest team in the comp? Looks like pace isn't king according to your logic.
I remember when we used to score a lot of long range tries or tries from kicks and people would whinge that we don't know how to attack in the opposition 20m. Now if the Sharks score off kicks it's because they are athletic.
I think every parra fan in the world knows we need some change. A new daily blog bagging our pace or BA doesn't help.
100% we need some speed in the backline, a lot of us have been saying that on this blog for years now. Not sure this graph really paints that picture though.

He's a good prospect
Yes we need speed, but this metric doesn't prove that at all.
Yep. Sharks have the best 2-5 in the comp on their day with 4 fast and athletic backs. But they are 2nd last on this stat.

we also have the slowest coach in the comp
Chief, how does try distance equate to speed?
How many long range tries are scored by slow backs meeiks?? Would Sivo for example be there backing up a long break, or would harper ?
Also if you have faster backs, you have a greater chance of stopping long range tries.
Look at what the broncos did every time there was a loose ball, They ran 80m to score meeik
