Come on I hear you say it was only the cowboys. Yes it was but last week gave me hope that we are returning to our form from the start of the season.
this is what has given me hope of a late season surge:
1. Moses didn't just bomb and hope last week but varied his kicking game with a couple of grubbas and a chip over the top. He forced a number of line drop outs
2 Moses and brown actually linking together in the halves and not just playing left and right. They have hardly done that all year
3. Moses and Brown straightened before passing which put the defence in two minds rather than just telegraphed horizontal passes that they often do.
4. the forwards ran straight and hard and then looked to offload
5. Joey Lussick was creative and selective in his passing and running. I thought he looked good
6. we scored some good attacking tries and found space on the edge.
7. Gutho was following the ball and looked dangerous again.
8. 'm not sure what we will get this week but I'd rather be optimistic that they will continue with this improvement.

Last start we won a Echuca maiden this week we are running in the Cox Plate. The two sides aren't even close to being comparable we made 15 errors last week if we are that wasteful tonight we could be seeing another 60 point pumping,
yep dropped a bit of ball but at least we threw a bit at them
Easy to throw something at a passive defence, the Storm will be up and in our faces all night. We'll see how our side to side rubbish attack goes against a quality side.

What I saw last week is two struggling teams playing each other one was struggling more than the other that's all I can see from that game.
Imagine what we'd look like now if we started playing this way from say, round 5. But sure, let's try some new stuff in Round 23. What could possibly go wrong?
Good to see some else watched the game. There were changes and improvements for sure
