How professional a club is in the modern social & internet based media is usually reflective on its front page, along with the profile pages.
All NRL clubs seemingly have a very uniform page, including the players profile, I guess at the direction of the NRL to show we're all one big happy family. Yeah right! I have had a look over several of the other clubs home pages & found many are hit or misses, Broncs & Storm pages as well as their wallpaper is spoilt by the maroon colours that look like candy alley at the Easter Show, but when it comes to the actual players profile page & the individual photo's, they all leave the eels pages for dead.
The eels Wallpaper is supposed to generat some form of patriotism, like the yanks do when their national anthem is played, yet the whole page seems to reek of darkness, along with the blue & gold faces. It doesn't get any better either when we acutally go to the individual profiles photos themselves.
Again, the black background, along with the shadows on the faces & the looks of most of the players, looks more like the mug shots taken in the U.S of criminals, probably the same here as well. I would really love to see a better page than we have now, I suppose changing the wallpaper may be hard, but a far better one would be of an all grades teams photo at the stadium, & the profile shots also of waste high shots, with the players look as if they want to be here.

Think your being a bit harsh on the Eels home page background etc. I don't mind it. At least it is better then the Canterbury homepage.
The player profile pics however is another story. Close-up portraits with a wide angle lense. What were they thinking? I like the black background but at least have a hair light to differentiate the player from the background.
The dogs seem to presenting Hoppa as their buy of the off season, which is a bit of a laugh.
Think Graham would have been a better choice.

Too true, thought it a bit different than just concentration on a couple of names in the perhaps this or that coming or going.
At least the pics seam to show most look to have the same heritage background.
Did they buy Graham over this off season?
No! my point being. that Graham would be a better choice to profile their club on the home page than Hoppa. If I was using the aspect of buy of the season it would have been #2 Morris.
