I think we're one small step closer to unveiling the top 17 that BA will go with come Rd 1.There’s no question that either Pritchard or De Gois was going to be Wenty’s main hooker. With Pritchard out injured for a long while, the conundrum of where to play De Gois may now be decided. If BA is determined to have De Gois in the NRL team then he’ll select him but I think it’s now more than likely that he’ll be playing for Wenty. TBH I don’t think De Gois offers much utility value anyway coming off the bench. He’s a great backup to Peats but there are other younger players who offer more in a utility role. I suspect BA will opt for four forwards on the bench at the start of the season and then see if we struggle in attack. If this is the case then either ZDC or Matterson will be called upon to inject spark late in the game.

Bandages Pritchard was injured most of last season but we still had IDG?
But Peats was mostly injured as well.
Hooker doesn't suit Kelly at all - he's an edge defender (and not a very good one). He is too much of a liability in the middle.
I think De Gois is too valuable to have him running around for Wenty. Perhaps a Piggy/PJ Marsh type of rotation?
I was actually going to write a blog earlier saying that I thought this might see ZDC step immediately up to Wenty to take a hooker or interchange role...
