Over the past six years, both major political parties have planned and schemed to replace their Prime Ministers and no one could argue that the country is the poorer for it in almost every area. With that change comes the rewards for the loyal supporters which means new Ministers and no continuity leading to more disorganization. Parramatta is facing the same crises of power games. We can take the lead from both major parties that changing leaders is most definitely NOT the answer to any question unless there is a standout candidate that simply cannot be overlooked such as Bob Hawke or John Howard who both went on to serve record terms with multiple election victories.
We have no standout replacement for Steve Sharp and as such, history tells us to wait until there is a standout candidate otherwise the mess only gets worse and much more complicated.
I hope for the sake of the country that Malcolm Turnbull turns out to be fantastic but as for our club, wait until the next elections when by then there may be a standout candidate. If we manage to win the comp this year I imagine everyone would be fairly happy?
Baying for blood with no alternative candidate is just a recipe for disaster
