Pride in the jersey

We all hear it about jerseys, stripes, caps this pride and honour to wear a particular teams colours/ emblem. Our latest jersey in my opinion was terrible what player could have pride in that.Merchandise sales aside, I can’t see any reason why we even need an away stripe let’s settle on a jersey and wear it till we win the comp, give the players and fans an identity and unity that we all are here and support our club. The squad that can return Norm and Authur to O’Connell St will be Legends and we can start a tradition of retiring jerseys that own a premiership.Yes it’s true we would have had the same jersey for 32 years or would we?

  • Welcome Pat, some good points, agree this years strip is a complete disaster.

Thing is with sticking to one jersey is once youve started failing bad in a jersey the smart option is to change it, for jersey sales and  image its not smart sticking with shit.

Imagine if we decide to stick with this losers strip that was a losers strip back then and now, its not a good look, we look like camp old men going bowling.

I think we either go into the future with a new strip or use a premiership winning classic eels jersey.

    • Yeah good point about being stuck in losers stripe, a New Jersey styled on past success predominantly blue with gold stripes and bands

    • The membership council should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. Bernie knew he fkd up whe he retired onehalf of this disastrous jersey after a few rounds.

It's the worst look of all time.

Parramatta should be predominantly Blue for our home kit and the away should be the 1986 jersey

  • Mate, if you think that the jersey or logo has any bearing what so ever over winning or losing then your kiiiidddddiiing yourself

  • Surely more to complain about than this? I imagined an impassioned plea for players to" take pride" in the jersey. To play with heart, gusto, determination, for the Parramatta club, but no you've just dropped your dummy again, sorry I was mistaken

    • Bear the jersey isn't selling. A leading sports retailer i know has said it's a massive flop. Peter Wynn has sold more Wests Tigers jerseys and that's unheard of. Bernie disbanded the away yellow stripes because it's shit

When are you idiots going to wake up to yourselves.

The modern players take pride in their look as you can see with their boots and casual wear. The current striped jerseys look like Lowes polos
      • Should be concentrating more on the game, its not a f....ng fashion parade mate. Its how they earn their living

      • They give a rats about the design of their jersey, unless you can show evidence of the players complaining about it. There's only one idiot around here.
