Press Conference

Apologies if already posted.

I think BA spoke quite well actually. Made some good points regarding momentum and playing for 70 mins.

Momentum is a real worry. It's too big in the game as I've outlined here.

One thing which was very frustrating is the journos didn't ask about the bench rotation.

  • We played for 70 mins... we always play for 70 mins... we need to play for 80 mins... repeat x 10.

  • Can't believe no one asked him about his bench rotations.
Brad..they drifted out cause they were stuffed. Same thing happened against the panthers. Yes Brad. In that game you played 16 against 17.
We are not a great team and we need all the help we can get - a good coaching performance would be a good start.
  • I dont see where the 70 minute judgment came from it was more like 60 minutes tonight!

  • I wish they would mike up the journos so we can actually hear the questions

    • Someone asked Triple M about that one time and they responded by saying that those things are last minute and unexpected. Yet press conferences happen every week.

  • I think the game review that BA will do with the team will be perfect! What to do: play like you played in the first 40mins. What not to do: don't play like you did in the last 40mins.

Should be a huge reality check for them.
    • "huge reality check for them"

If the players and coaching staff haven't realised that our squad is inept and of NSW Cup standard before last night's shambles then we are in more trouble than we think.

Jarryd Hayne alone last season smoked screened Brad Arthur's inability to coach and personally I have no doubt put Brad Arthur, Management and the players in a false sense of security. I will own up and say I also had similar hopes only to see reality hit me hard and quickly.

They would have came into this year thinking they are a chance of sneaking into the 8 yet without Hayne we are once again looking at a third spoon in four years.

It's time to give these rookie coaches the flick, we have tried them and failed, and go all out for a decent coach. No point buying Foran and Scott for them to be coached by a guys with no idea.

Our club needs a strong headed coach like your Des Hasler's, Wayne Bennett's and Craig Bellamy's.

  • BA's response to the game is basically "we have to be mentally stronger", thats it. Whilst his prognosis is concise & obvious I think that his reaction was rather under whelming & his lack of accountability is also not very re-assuring from a fan's perspective.

  • Hahaha Fong. He still wouldn't get it though.
