I think BA needs to have a sit down with the entire team and have a real honest chat about the teams desire to win a comp OR TO JUST PLAY AND GET PAID. I think he needs to let them know that very few playes will ever play in a Grand Final, let alone more than one and EVEN FEWER WILL EVER WIN ONE!!!
BA, the team and the club/the board need to get serious and no longer accept "THE EFFORTS THERE, BUT.....". BA is unlikely going to get another shot after this year, another rebuild is coming and he is likely on shakey ground with the Eels should they fail, which is completely fair. Gutho won't get another shot, he's too old and will be part of ANOTHER REBUILD, so will Moses. N Brown won't as he is also too old and is likely off to another club. Lane won't get another shot, Waqa is unlikely to get another shot, Matto won't get another shot as he's also getting old and will be part of ANOTHER REBUILD. Paulo won't get another shot, RCG won't get another shot. The only one's who are chance of getting another shot are the younger players but even they will be part of ANOTHER REBUILD should they stay at the Eels, which will also likely take years to maybe be a top 8 side.
The difference between the succesful clubs and the other's who just make up the numbers is accountability and knowing when they have an opportunity and taking it. Not coming up with excusses and not being able to make changes when something isn't working. You can't make the top 8 three years in a row and get bundle out in straight sets 3 years in a row and not think something isn't working. Something needs to change or BA, the team and the club/the board have reached their ceiling and if that's the case, ANOTHER REBUILD is required to win a comp.
Either BA, the team and the club/the board come together and realise this is likely the last opportunity they will ever have, or IT'S MORE OF THE SAME!!!
Making the top 8 regularly is something other clubs would kill for but when you aren't ever really a chance of winning the big one, it becomes more depressing than just missing out on the top 8. We as Eels fans know all to well.

To be honest I don't think this club really cares, all they care about is merchandise and memberships. 36 years and counting. Doesn't look like it'll end anytime soon, playing group looks disjointed, we haven't got a player to put a big hit in defence and change the game, we haven't got a player that'll kick a 40-20 and change the momentum of the game when we're on the back foot instead we got a twat 7 grubbering for him self on the halfway line with 30 mins to go we haven't got a player that revs up the team when we're down. We passed on signing Josh addo carr for 500k, that's what our clubs good at not signing great players with great history. We haven't got BIG GAME PLAYERS END OF STORY.

So you haven't seen any massive hits from RCG, Paulo, Papallii, Nuikore, Sivo, Blake, Matterson and Ray Stone prior to his injury? Not sure what you have been watching the past few seasons, but with all due respect, that is far from the issues within this squad. That is one of the last things that is of concern.

Planta Fascia injuries are a killer Frank especially when your feet are your primary.I don't think Nathan Briwn has changed at all I just think these soughts of injuries take away an important tool in the tool bag is all.

I think the club does care, but i think they look at all as "Well we are better than what we were before" and that is good enough. For Wests or Gold Coast it would be.
I would have thought BA had that chat after the Tigers loss, if not earlier.
