I don't see the hype with the tigers. They had a couple good games but LB is right their over confidence and arrogance can be there downfall. There defence is the main issue and Benji doesn't seem to be fixing their issues.
Compare tigers to the Eels, both won more games towards the end of the year but the stats show eels did it through a combination of attack and defense. Tigers improved their attack but their defense was still very poor. When they win they still conceed over 20 points. They had a few games at leichardt and the bulldogs game where they lifted, but Benji doesn't seem to be able to motivate the players on a regular basis. They will continue to be around the bottom of the ladder until they get a new coach.
FMP, their philosophy is similar to 05', you score 30 we will score 31. After a while that will get tiresome. If Koroisau goes down, which could happen with age, they are stuffed. They should be in discussion for spoon as well as maybe top 8. They are an odd team, it's fascinating. They are the team i hate the most with their arrogance and the May brothers will run the joint and the locker room to the ground, Luai will say screw this and head to Perth perhaps and Marshall will wonder where it went wrong.
But also, from reports, Marshall is one that is not open to help. He is very much it is his way only. Compared to Ryles who feeds on opinions from others to form his own. Ryles has final say but takes words from all his assistants and even outsiders like Eddie Jones.
Marshall's arrogance rubs off on the team. He got some nice wins off teams taking them easy but then they took teams easy thinking they are the real deal.
Media love them more than us as they are a great story, a team who have not made finals in 12 years, off 3 straight spoons with a club legend as coach.

I did predict Knights would get the spoon this year, purely on there spine.
Not bad, Dragons would go close. Though a smokey would be Manly. I feel that place is falling apart and they are due a big rebuild but are holding off. Once Seibold is gone, along with Jake and Tom Trbojevic, they will rebuild. Their forwards are ageing or average. They do not have a lot of good juniors, they have a killer backline and halves pairing not bad. But also have no recognised Hooker.
The room are off Seibold and he did enough late with DCE fairwell to get them up but he will lose them again.
