The question is , who let Gentle go and what efforts were made to keep him Rosey ? For all we know Brad begged the powers at be not to take let these key personal away . Or for all we know BA sacked him , we just don’t know . I’d like to see them replace these key personnel and see what happens before we jump into hiring some other bum that’s been sacked from another NRL club .
Excluding the under-contract coach, yes. We are legally contracted to have BA as our head coach next year and the only realistic way out of that scenario is if Brad asked for a mutual release from the contract because he had an equivalent offer elsewhere, and based on the current teams performance that offer ain't going to come anytime soon.
Why do people find this so hard to grasp? Contracts are legally binding agreements. The only way out would be a Hasler style payout and potential lawsuit and I think the club has had enough of both of those in recent years.
Brad's contract will be up the end of next year, then by all means the "calling for his head" is a useful conversation. What we need to stop doing as a club is signing contracts in positions of weakness and build in some performance based clauses so they stop coming to bite us in the arse like this in the future.
Well if BA doesn’t have performance KPIs built into his contract then we are dumber than I thought.
Also if BA loves the club and cares about the fans as much as he says he does, then he would walk and arrange a payout - there’s no shame in admitting something is beyond you and this gig clearly is.
