OK so I've put together a few names of players parra should target (and some they probably are already). This is nothing official just a speculative view of the future and a trip to fantasy land...
Paul Carter (free agent, even for this year) - a better option for the #14 bench option than IDG. He covers lock and hooker, he's a future rep player his only problem was being on the drink too much (something many footballers have a problem with)...could be picked up cheap as he's seen as "damaged goods"
Alex Johnston - no brainer...he's a gun winger who looks like he will make a gun fullback, to me he's the optimal fullback replacement to Hoppa who I don't believe is going to win a competition at fullback....maybe as a centre however...
Krisnan Inu - playing union in france, I'm sure he can be tempted home to parra to play centre
Kirisome Auva'a - off contract, he's a gun centre and terribly underrated, should have played for NZ last year...only hitch is he's a woman bashing thug. But the NRL is filled with those and we aren't averse to signing a few trouble makers ourselves (Wicks, Mau'u) could be picked up for cheap since he's also perceived as "damaged goods"
James Tamou - Rumours are the Cowboys are shopping him around, they could likely pay part of his sizable wage in order to offload him to make room for the upgraded contract of Jason Taumololo and Thurston etc
Caleb Timu - coming back from a Mormon mission, he's a gun backrower who's a future star and uncontrated
OR
Kelepi Tanginoa - not off contract but why did we let him go? Out of all the players to release he seems like the biggest no brainer we should have kept.

Michael Chee Kam - Off contract backrower, stuck in reserve grade at manly, supposed to be a gun, how about we offer a better opportunity?
Daniel Tupou - probably too expensive for a winger, but in fantasy land he's looking for a new club and we have money....can play right wing as seen in the city country game last year

There are some serious bargains here, if you think these are bad targets you are mistaken.
Ok lets start.
Inu - No. Been there done that. Lazy.
Carter - Would be ok on a seconds contract. But more a Wenty player.
Johnston - No. Wants to be a fullback. We already have a few players who can play fullback and dont need anymore wingers. Save our cash
Auva'a - Could be a goer. I wouldnt say he is under-rated. He been getting plenty of raps last year.
Tamou - We dont need another Mannah.
Timu - You would have to see how he returns from a mission. No doubt has lost bulk and again we have plenty of back rowers.
Tanginoa - Agree should not of offloaded him. But we have plenty of good back rowers. He would find it hard to get out of Wenty again.
Chee Kam - Good player. But if you cant crack 1st Grade at Canberra or now at Manly with crap back rowers. Why do we need another one???
Tupou - Maybe. Depends what he is asking for. Over priced. But again is quality.
As for your team list why would you have two 5/8's in the halves?? Norman is a 5/8 or Fullback. Foran is a 5/8. NOT A HALF. No matter anyones opinion on Sandow, we need a half. ZDC will start to become a hooker and Matterson more then likely become a lock forward.
If you want to get rid of Sandow, buy a half. We dont need anymore back rowers. Edwards, Ma'u, Watmough, Pauli, Paulo plus some of our front rowers can play back row like Wicks and Gower.
Rednax you do know you can't just sign players who are under contract and release players when you feel like it, right?
And please, Inu is long gone, Auva'a and Carter are more trouble then they are worth and if Chee Kam is stuck behind the likes of Dunamis Lui and Tom Symonds what does that tell you?
The only contracted players are Tamou and Tanginoa, the rest are FREE agents, and you can shop players around to clubs. Inu maybe not uncontracted but he will likely get homesick in france and want to leave.
We signed IDG when he was under contract, we can release him from one.
A contract is a contract. If there are clauses in a contract that state a valid reason why in a circumstance a player can be released then so be it. It's not like Arthur could just release say Beau Champion to save some cash because he is gone for the year.
