I know there have been a number of blogs covering different membership ideas and I have another one. In European Football (particularly Liverpool FC) you can purchase a membership cheaply, however no games are included in this membership. Instead, members can purchase tickets before the general public and can choose how many games they go to. This means they really only need to attend the games they choose, and given that the best teams often play over 20 home games a season, it's better than a prepaid membership because you don't have to attend a set number of games to get your money back like you do with the NRL memberships. This can open the door to more regional members who can only attend a handful of home games a season.
