Possible Broken Jaw Tedesco

Back when Marty Taupau ko'd Bird and only got 1 week I emailed NRL and said it'll take a broken jaw before you clowns do anything. James will probably get about 3 weeks for his hit on Tedesco.  However, the Taupau hit which was worse. So if Taupau got 10 in the bin and at least 4 weeks then all the ones since and tedesco's possible broken jaw may have been avoided. Much like the Mckinnon incident the NRL acted only after serious injury.

These are deliberate forearms to the jaw and excuse that player is falling is bullshit.

  • He should get rest of year off like teddy fucken grub can't wait see Teflon toddy greenturd try get him off
  • It was a grub act. I'm sure he didn't mean to break his jaw but it was a deliberate big shot on a bloke catching a ball and he swung his arm. Should get a lengthy holiday for that. He won't get much of a penalty I reckon.
  • I really feel sorry for teddy, however i didnt see any intent of harming teddy. The arm was swung low when teddy was tackled i think it was alittle unfortunate it collected him where it did. Just my thoughts.
  • Really Tedesco  was about 1 foot off the ground when hit. How low do you have to tackle someone without hitting their head?

  • I've said before that deliberate acts of grubbery resulting in serious injury should result in the offender being given the same length of time as the victim . Just like GIs shoulder charge in Origin , GI gets 2 or 3 weeks and Dugan was out until this week . 6 or 7 weeks ?
    • The suspension ought commence once the injured player is independently declared fit to play, so he sits out till then and at that point serves his time. That would change some behaviours.
  • Jarrod wallace hit could have easily resulted in a broken jaw. I don't see why players have to use the stiff arm in any tackle. Its designed to hurt and should be eradicated.
    • I've got no dramas with stiff arms , stiff diicks or shoulder charges , but if you hit another bloke in the jaw , mouth or head with them then you should be given a lengthy suspension .
  • It was also quite obvious there was zero attempt not to stiff arm him to the face .
  • I'd highly doubt James 'intentionally' went in looking to go in high whacking Tedesco's head & break his jaw. Slow motion replays are like photographs, misleading or misrepresentative of the entire context at frantic , high pressured pace the game is played.

However, it wouldn't surprise me if James is charged & suspended for a while.

James, is one of the highest penalised players in the game. He has a tendency to be reckless with swinging stiff arms, niggle & aggression & It's something he's going to need to address.

If you drive recklessly , aggressively, at 120kmh you may not mean to run over your next door neighbour & run a few cars off the road , after tailgating them, but you'll still likely to be charged.
