Poore's Injury

Pirtek Parramatta Eels forward Justin Poore has been diagnosed with a virus following his withdrawal from last night's match against Manly.

Poore was suffering slight dizziness in the warm-up of the match which deteriorated just before kick-off, with the former Origin prop unable to take the field.

Poore visited Norwest Hospital last night where he was diagnosed with a virus that was to blame for the dizziness and nausea he was experiencing.

The former St George Illawarra frontrower is expected to be available for selection for next week's Round 24 clash against the Tigers.

  • We definately missed a bit of extra grunt in the second half. All our props had good games, but they were definately feeling the extra workload towards the end of the game.
  • This the same virus Reni had? Who will come down with it next :x.
  • Some posters on here need to give themselves an uppercut!  I read on one of the blogs (can't remember which one) that SK deserves to be shown the door due to his pathetic use of his interchange bench.  If only those people had taken the time to read the facts.

You've got to give credit to our side, playing Manly minus one significant prop and they still won the forward battle.

I thought Allgood hit the line with some serious vigour too.

    • Camo73 i stood and went nuts when Allgood then Shacks took 2 of the best hard running hit ups off a drop out, straight up into the heart of the Manly pack, followed by hindy to then go wide and score..

Allgood played tough, he has had a few mistakes in him, but he is a young front rower so its expected.

But i can guarantee if we were higher on the ladder he would be getting some wraps.

Dont stress to much about the haters, they just vent a little bit differently thats all, and most of the time are the ones who have a lot of other issues in their life.

I personally think Poore really does need to show something in the next 3 weeks to justify his earnings. He is a great front rower, we just need him finishing off with a bang

  • Oh come on! Everyone knows that the bigger they are, the harder ManFlu will hit them!

  • I get vomiting and dizzy spells for around 90mins each week, i have a funny feeling that be fine from September onwards.......
  • If Poore has a virus he won't be doing much training at all this week so not expecting him to be contributing against the Tiges.

Poore is a great assett to us but like the team he has had "a devestating run of Bad luck"

    • what happened to atkins.

named in the starting line up and ruled out.

i think its time to give sio or filiga a go because hicks and morgan are doing nothing

  • Filiga????...lol he's struggling to make wentys starting line up and isn't wanted for next year, some people should really take the time to check the form of the players instead going off half cocked.
