POORE FAILS TO TRAIN WITH DRAGONS

St George Illawarra prop Justin Poore has failed to train with the NRL side after suffering a calf injury. The NSW State of Origin representative sat out an intense session at WIN Stadium with his left calf heavily iced.Dragons captain Ben Hornby said he believed the injury to be minor as the side prepares for Sunday's qualifying final against Parramatta at WIN Jubilee Oval."He didn't train today but we're hopeful he's going to be able to play," Hornby told reporters. The minor premiers are otherwise injury free for their second match in two weeks against the Eels, who they thrashed 37-0 at the same venue last Friday night.Hornby himself has recovered from a stomach bug he picked up earlier in the week and took part in the majority of Thursday's training session."I feel a fair bit better, obviously I'm not completing full training sessions at the moment but I'm definitely feeling a lot better," he said.Hornby will play his 200th first grade game for the Dragons on Sunday.

  • . Load of rubbish!! He'll be there...
  • Would help immeasurably if he's out!
    • Lets pray
  • The mind games have begun!
  • I tell you I simply cannot wait to have Poore in our side. That Dragons game last week just showed the difference of having one really big body in your side. Poore's stats himself weren't even that impressive but he sets up the sets so well for the rest of their forwards by bending your defence back on those early tough hit ups.
  • Agreed, that was the only positive to come out of last week.
  • I actually want him to play. I think Fui will want to make a statement this Sunday arvo, he wants a square-up against his future team mate.

Without Poore playing i don't think Fui will be as intense.
  • Good to see they are playing mind games. I think the Drag queens are a bit nervous.
  • He wants to play with the FUI......not get RUN over by HIM....take good advise big fella ......have a rest in this one.......
  • maybe poore is thinking, if i don't play my future team mates will like me more ha ha
