Absolute rubbish. No creativity, no speed, nothing. Newtown made plenty of mistakes but at least tried something. They deserved to win.

The better team lost but so what. You just knew the Jets would pull it off at the death. Of course it was always going to happen.
The commentators kept saying how good our halves were but I thought they were really poor. They had enough go forward and space to ice that game 10 times over. They applied no pressure and it kept the Jets in the game. Just awful.
I think the better team won mutt, so much 1st grade experience at wenty, a generally poor performance.

Yeh maybe. I thought our forwards rolled ahead well. McIlrick was good in patches too.
But it was just so obvious that a few repeat sets and we eventually crack them and win it. But we couldn’t buy a repeat.
We also didn’t use our edges anywhere near enough.

You could see it coming the last 15 muniutes, we were trying to hold on and are halves were winding down the clock where as Newtown were trying to win with chip kicks and backline plays. I thought our forwards were great but really disappointed with salmon and parry. Hoffman was probably our best along with Davey and stefano.
