  Pearce and Carney are quality! Throw in Robbie Farrah at hooker and you have three blokes who can almost match the skills of Lockyer, Thurston and Smith.

    True, but it's exciting that we've at least got more ability to compete in 2011. Let's face it, Qld's dominance has coincided with an exceptional core of halves and hooker and in that time, our 6, 7 and 9 combination has been a revolving door.

      If Pearce and Carney are not the NSW halves in 2011 than you will know the Blues selectors are Queenslanders in disguise. I can't think of any better players to play 6 & 7, I still think they need a few more years though.

      The only reason why qld has been dominant is because nsw hadn't had a salary cap cheating side to put all the players into.

        WTF has salary cap got to do with the quality of the player?

         

        Qld have simply had the better quality of player of the last 5 season's, add to that the fact that NSW selectors are incompetent when it comes to player selection and retention thus creating a team that hasnt had time to gel at any level, and of course you will get a one sided Origin series!
