Hi everyone. I just thought I would try adding a poll just for a bit of fun before Xmas.I'm not sure if/how I can add it directly to the blog so have had to add it to MYPAGE. If you go to my page and then look on the left-hand side for 'sharkiesboomboomboom's Apps' and click on it the poll will come up.The question is, obviously 'WHO WILL BE THE PARRAMATTA CAPTAIN WHEN CAYLESS RETIRES?'

  • Obvious choice for most eel supporters would be '' HINDY'. I agree, so hindmarsh should be our next leader. My choice for the future is a toss-up between haynesy & morts......can't split em !!!!!
  • Hindy short term but I think Hayne would be a great onfield leader..... the guy has more competitive spirit than most at any club.... a trait i love in players.
    • very true, and i wouldnt be suprised if it happens as well
  • Tim Mannah!
  • Mortimer
  • Hayne! He will be a one club man and is destined to bring us a premiership. He is the chosen one!
  • I think you only have to look at the start of the Grand final to see that Hayne has what it takes to be captain. It takes a very rare individual to be able to take charge of a team huddle of senior players at his age and i must say that it surprised me that he had the confidence to do it.I cant really see Mannah or Morts commanding that type of respect in the next couple of years and i think the added responsibility might help keep his mind on the job and stop him getting stale.

  • I'm not sure. Hindy you would think will be the next after Cayless, after that who knows. Depends on who is still playing for us. I do agree with Clive on the way Hayne stood up in that team huddle, takes a leader to do what he did. He could be the man for the job. Just hope it wouldn't change his game. If that is the case i think a forward would be the next best pick. There is already too much pressure on the halves for morts to take on the job. I think Poore or Mannah would be the go...
  • I think it will be Hayne next, but I'd really like Mortimer to be captain. He's too inexperienced right now, but in 2-3 years he would make a fantastic captain.
  • Hindy will definately retire at the end of 2010 if or should i say when we win the grand final, so the only other player i can see with leadership qualities would be hayne
