He is certainly not in our top 17. But we've had him on our books for a while now and it would seem silly to chuck him out as he enters his late 20s when thats the age many props hit their prime. For the right price (cheap) he should be kept. Keep in mind our two starting props are on huge cash comparitively to other clubs props so we just have to deal with some so-so replacements. Salary cap doing its thing.
I see your logic and make sense, must admit tho mate it was obvious years ago the lad just can't do burpees quick enuf. I hope he proves me wrong, really do.
I havent seen enough of Utoikamanu to have an opinion. But in general i like our bench to have balance and i dont think Stone, Kaufusi and Utoikamanu bench would be experienced enough. Id imagine Gower would be a better option.
Thought went okay in limited minutes. Defended well, no errors, no penalties and a couple of okay runs. Perfect back up with 1st grade experience to keep the centre tight while the starters rest.
"That's where we are screwed to be able to compete on the same footing we need to be afforded the same advantages other clubs have or come up with something that is more creative to offset the mentioneds advantage.

Strictly cover. 100k contract MAX. Alvaro reminds me of the wooden spoon years.
Early in his career I was thinking he might develop into a big tough Ranga forward. But nah. Seems to be pretty soft
