Points for/against

Not sure if this question has been asked before (sorry if it has) but do we keep our for/against if we loose the 12 points?

I have a mate who's a "Tigpies" supporter that I bet with each year on our teams position at the end of year points wise.

  • The other NRL clubs argued that the points they scored against us should stand, because those against-points represent a stifling effort against an over-paid roster. But that our points-for were unfairly gained by an over-paid roster, so should be deducted from our for-and-against and those team's against tally. So out for-and-against tally will be negative all the points we have conceded, and every other team we played gets a points-against deduction (improving their overall for-and-against in the positive).
  • I believe if you made a bet with a
friend? Well it would be fair!
To deduct 12. points off your mates
team! You would definitely win with
backing the Eels! Only if he is a
friend? But I may of misunderstood
    your question, Ron has already
    answered your question he knows!
    Parramum... Cheers!
  • That's incorrect Daz.

Greenberg confirmed that we will not lose any of our for & against points. They will stand in full. He admitted it isn't a perfect system, but that's what will happen

    • Clearly.. Haha
    • It happens
  • You know what, I would love to see where Parramatta sits in terms of how much our players have been paid vs other clubs. I suspect that there are a few clubs who beat us on that and they are the ones crying foul. Look at the teams at the top of the ladder. Does anybody think those teams are paid less than our players? At least we keep the F/A as little compensation...
