Half - Kyle Flanagan. Townsend is in career form. Moylan and Johnson are both first choice players if not injured. Hes under contract but if offerred a starting spot would and should move.

Why bother looking at any solid players or players with potential when we could buy the most inconsistent prop in the game outside of Kane Evans for only $700,000?

Why are the players in that list winners? Most haven’t won very often.
It’s not just winners we need to go after but competitors . We need players who compete on everyplay . Blokes like Munster, Bird, Trbojevic , Graham, S Burgess. Notice there rep Players that’s why and that’s what you need to identify in juniors. Flashy only gets you so far sheer will, desire and grit gets you a premiership.
Somebody mentioned Townsend before he’s a competitor, wants to win the contest whenever he’s involved and goes looking for it when he’s not.you get a few of these type of players at least one in a spine position and it becomes infectious and allows you to bring in juniors earlier. Fosters the right culture.
I agree bup and I judge a player by their actions when the opposition make a break. Melbourne are full of players that just keep chasing and scrambling hence why the are so difficult to score against. Last night the only ones that showed that for the eels were fergo and Moses.

Every time I see Eels players taking part in some media piece they are joking about behaving like dickheads. When Gutho was being interviewed last week you could hear Moses yelling out something smart ass in the background and Moreau and Taka were on Channel 9 the other night giggling like teenage girls.
When you talk about the right culture and sense of professionalism seems absent from our team when the captain and senior players can't behave in a half mature fashion even in the presence of the media.
