    Ben Crooks was in the 2013 English Super League team of the year as a winger. Sam Tomkins was listed as fullback that year. Crooks is also a great goal kicker.

    He's came over here to try and make it in 1st grade, though he's been stuck on the wing in Wenty.

  Same. I was especially keen to see Crooks play. He came all the way from ESL to have a crack at the top grade... apparently he's doing well in Wenty tho.

  Crooks is going ok at Wenty. Going ok in a team running last isn't going to push you into a first grade gig. Doesn't look physically like a first grader either. Long odds to ever play NRL level
  
  Nelson is young and needs development. We also have good depth jn his position. Couple years off being ready

    Cody Nelson has played FG for the Titans and did a good job when called on. It appears he is struggling to make a Wenty team that has offered nothing this season, I wonder if he has gone backwards since joining the Eels.
    
    Surely there must be questions asked about the performance of the Wenty team as there is no real pressure being applied to the FG players.

    They were probably signed as back-ups so they're doing exactly what they've been signed for.

  Crooks is contracted to wenty so I prezume tats why we havent seen him

  Crooks himself took a punt on his move. It's been a learning experience for him and the coaching staff spend individual time with him at training. It's been difficult for him to shine on the end of a Wenty backline. He's a good bloke and it will be interesting to see how the club view his development by the end of the year. If I'm not mistaken Gentle has worked with him in England.
