Wow, what a slinger!
Ratings Out Of Ten.
1. Iongi 6.5 — had some class touches that got us home In the end
2. Kelly 6 — His yardage carries are crucial for us
3. Penisni 2 —his defence wasn't exposed due to the Tigers ineptitude but his attention to detail continues to be shocking . That dummy half forward pass, fails to finish off tackles he should easily be in control; of ...He and the club badly need a clean break.
4. Samrani 7 — had a few chances he should've took but was one of our best
5. Fox 6 —uncharacteristically poor handling all afternoon . Looked to get involved but caught the bug from the rest of our side. Mistakes that aren't usually In his game.
6. Volkman 5 — based on some of his desperation efforts. He is an absolute handbreak on the attack and can't tackle but a few of his cleanup efforts were needed.
7. Moses 4 — one of his poorest performances in memory. In fairness the side has no cohesion in the spine and couldn't hold the ball but he couldn't get the side to settle down, played rushed himself and his goal kicking and general play kicking left a lot to be desired .
8. Tuivaiti 5.5 — his first stint was great his second has sloppy
9. TDS 4 — poor attention to detail and missed a crucial tackle
10. Williams 7.5 — has been really consistent and leading from the front for weeks now . One of the few whose performance can't really be criticised.
11. Kelma 4 — the Will penis of the forward pack. Few damaging runs with intent mixed with poor attention to detail and mixed efforts.
12. Kit Kat 4.5 — the mistakes and Ill disclipine we get from him weekly mixed in with a few quality efforts. Needs to get some consistency in his game or he won't last as a starting edge .
13. JDB 6 — thought his contact and intent was good . A professional performance without being spectacular .
14. Walker 3.5 — plays like he checked out a few weeks ago . Couple of costly poor defensive efforts near the line the last 2 weeks . Well down on the form he had last year.
15. Junior 4 — first up after a long spell . Didn't provide great to forward and there was a noticeable drop off in the middle when he came on for Sam.
16. Teancum Brown 4 — fails to win a lot of his defensive contact. There's a player there but he needs a lot of work .
17. Harrison Edwards 4.5 — helped lock up the middle a little.
It was a very poor performance as a whole. Thoughts?

Just give this game a NR due to the drop ball. Whole team very poor to me. Some good patches but not a good game
Penisini wasn't a 2 lmao. One forward pass out of the game when there was nearly 20 errors doesn't warrant a 2/10. He got a try disallowed and was over for another if Moses passed to him instead of throwing over Kelly's head.
A lot of our younger players were found out in their attention to detail and defensive first contact. They will learn and lucky to win ugly but not good enough.
Yep. Brown had his first poor game. Tuivita and TDS defence contact was poor at times with Walker
I saw Williams get disappointed multiple times with defensive efforts. He needs to be captain. He would just death stare the guilty players
And that is ok too EA. Brown has shown he can play. It is good this is his 7th game and not his 1st or 2nd. Tuivaiti as well has had some good games though i wonder how much of the constant physicality of NRL is hitting him. I knocked him before, he had a poor game, though he will be better from the milage he is getting.
Sometimes kids need a game likes this as a wake up call and a reality check. I do love how Ryles said "Thank god it is a 6 day turnaround".
I'm not worried about them. They were surrounded by a team full of errors. Their minutes are increasing too (40+) and that possession stat during the second half would have brought a lot of fatigue into them. The biggest concern for me is that Samrani was our best player. Well done to him. But he isn't even an out an out centre. We can see that backrow will probably be his long term spot. Next year still has plenty of gaps for me
As much as i understand why you put Smith at 9. I do think Ryles has shown his hand with Da Silva and will die on the hill with him starting. Smith at 14 could be the play moving forward.
I do actually agree with Kautoga. With Su'A coming and Williams being so good on an edge, there has to be an odd man out. Kautoga is not bad, but seems he has a short ceiling. Being a decent NRL player who will get 100-150 games plus.
I agree regarding JR faith in TDS.
Kautoga will get a decent number of nrl teams. Similar to Kelma, clubs will keep picking them up thinking they can fix up their discipline and make them reach their potential.
I think there is more hope for Kautoga over Tuilagi. Kelma will be in SL soon. Kautoga I don't see it as soon. Could be wrong.
Kautoga at least has a killer offload at times and feel his first contact is more consistent than Tuilagi.
EA what are your thoughts on how Koina and Petrus in went in Cup?
