Played tough Played smart

Was waiting for the review, but this is a quickie for EAM

1. Sign up Papalii forever - have we extended his contract. Can't believe he bulldozed JP for that first try.

2. Moses was the sheppard we needed and he always tries to be. What Cronk said. I think Moses still has to mature and get comfortable/at peace/confident with his role to do this consistently. But more games like this will help.

3. Forwards are back. Wow, dominated Canberra in Canberra.

Just happy we played tough and played smart...and beat Ricky in Canberra - finally over that now

Happy days

Well done BA and team, all played well and did us proud

  • the best gift for my birthday...wow what a performance.  We came out in second half with gun blazing...I hope we continue the momentum. I was surprised the way Lane performed today. I think this time we learnt our lesson,  when we got beaten by Saints. As Brad said, 1 to 17 performed well.

However the referring was below par. Seriously,  NRL needs to fix this...

    • Last week the refereeing was terrible but I was happy tonight - thought the 50:50s evened out and they were consistent with interpretations of rules between teams. We should expect some 50:50s against in away matches. Last week felt like the ref and video ref were Hartley reincarnated.

  • Two other points

    1. Cronk mentioned Moses was patient and pulled the trigger when he needed to pull the trigger. This was a key for me.

    2. BA said we are not a pretty football team but more a    team ....last week some players tried. To win it on their own, this week every one did the job they were given. Cartwright got limited time this week- I assume he was one of the players who pissed BA offf last week trying to win it on his own. At least he was trying. Think Cartwright will be great for us but expect BA to try to keep him restrained most of the time

  • Thanks Willie  Great to see some positivity from real fans! Agree with everything you say. Papalli is a bloody legend. And yeah, so glad we smashed a Ricky led team.

The blog I started is now blocked from further comments. All I wanted was for real fans to come out and write positive stuff (like you have) instead of usual dumb comments we normally face. Last week was a perfect example. Typically a few on here, who strangely seem to have a lot of power act like bullies keeping guard of what is written. They try find ways of shutting blogs down. Always the usual suspects. I said absolutely nothing wrong.

    • 100% agree with you some of this shit I read on here makes me sick can't believe they blocked your blog.

      • I know right?

If I really cared I'd ask who the administrators are so I can find our why my blog was blocked but I feel I'd just be feeding into a political mess of people who like power.

  • Great game to watch . TBH I didn't see that coming.

  • I wasn't expecting a win the boys played great.

  • Moses seems to play better if he starts well and when Dylan brown isn t there. Papa should be signed long term. We still have some mistakes in us that we need to address. Great win down there and the ref didn't make it easy. Finally the hoodoo has been broken.

  • I don't think the players did much different , big issues was Canberra's tactics to the dragons and i saw this in the manly game yesterday too.

'Especially on try line they are going back to full on spoiling tactics , slow ptb knowing refs are not issuing prenalties , sin bins , won't keep restarting sets and they frustrate attacking teams by these spoiling tactics that the attack is ineffective or they drop balls and or do panic plays

"Yep I think he will take over from Walker in 27 as our starting 13, has the characteristics of a leader and could end up a vice Captain by then too."

"Actually EA Ryley while playing Flegg for the panthers played in the halfs as well as hooker at various times . So if push came to shove my humble opinion is the kid would do a great job job where ever if needed . He is just a real goer"

"maybe LB but the games I've seen TDS play for us and the tigers he has alot of maturing to do as makes alot of selfish plays stunting the attack and would be better off learning in reserve grade and he is playing a utility except he can only cover…"
