Moving players on now does not guarantee we will be playing for points in a months time.
The final decision of the (preliminary) penalty imposed is still unknown until the investigation is complete, and it is all at Teflon Todd Greenturds discretion. This slimy prick is capable of anything.
Peatsy may have been told he is not required in 2017, but with everything so murky and smelling off with the NRL's investigation. I wouldn't be in a rush to move him on just yet.
I don't trust this sleazy little weasel for a second.

Please take that photo down. It angers me to no end!
If i was boss id be looking towards 2017 and not shedding players but its hard to know whats really going on, and its real hard to second guess the NRL, ive got a feeling they are going to fuck us either way this year but what if getting rid of Peats now is just bringing forward the inevitable, Bert, BA is a smart bloke, he wouldnt be letting Peats go if he was in his long term plans.
Im still expecting the club to blame the NRL here, wouldnt be surprised if BA came out and said he was forced into it as a bit of a deflection from the truth.
The play for points cherry was just a little kicker to get the club and the fans to toe the line. The NRL is only motivated in $$$ and if we sit out 2016 that will hurt their bottom line. This whole punishment was months in the planning and it's all going according to script. We will be cap complaint by Friday and incur another penalty later on in the year. It's like a script from a movie - watch this space.
Correct me if wrong, but doesn't a clubs performance have an effect the following season re to draw, televised games etc which would affect the club long term?
I agree with Snake in that the NRL are out to get us either way, but we've got to jump through the hoops just in case. What choice do we have?
