PERSPECTIVE.

Perspective noun: a particular attitude towards or way of regarding something; a point of view.

Perspective is a most interesting situation - MY perspective v YOUR perspective will, in most instances be different.

I say we have a BUSH COACH who is too much like Brian Smith - he can get the team into the fnals but has never come home with the Silverware.

Many people percieve Brad Arthur as an excellent coach who will bring home the trophy and the best thing in coaching at the Eels since Jack.

My perspective of how we play the game (win or lose) will differ from many other people's perspective.

Take any game and mine and your perspectives will be different.

This player was bludging in your opinion and I say he is carry a small injury that is hindering him so my perspective is the player did the best he could while you say - SACK HIM!

Some people will pick ONE play in an entire game to ridicule certain players without looking at the entire 80 effort.

Yes, one bad play can cost us a game on the scoreboard, but invariably there was a lot went on prior to that one bad play that was in fact the reason for the loss.

Currently the biggest fear for Eels supporters appears to be losing our spot on TOP OF THE LADDER. Now this is something Eels fans have not had to worry about for more years than any of us want to remember, plus until we see the outcome of today's Panther's game we are still ahead of the pack.

Normally we are concertned about managing to make the top 8 - not lead the comp.

Some people will say we are now in decline while others say, stay strong ang believe.

Unicorns and Realists simply have a different perception of where we are and what is going on.

That said - if you ain't got hope regardless of your perception of our situation, you may as well give up now and stay in bed.

  • This is a 'heavy deep blog' from my perspective.

  • My perspective is it isn't unicorns v realists. Not really, in truth.

It unicorns (overly optimistic/positive/hopeful bias), realists , and naysayers (overly pessimistic/negative bias).

I stopped being a unicorn after the 80s. Who could possibly be overly optimistic after the last few decades of soft bellied DNA?

  • Good perspective on perspective. But to put things in perspective aren't most coaches and some of the best players from the bush? Another perspective is that we have only lost 2 games this season and have been leading the comp. Pretty sure at the beginning of the year any one of us would have taken that. That's just my perspective.

    • Great perspective EAM - you nailed one point where our perspectives align.

We are currently 8 from 10 when most fans say 4 from our first 6 will be acceptable - so we are ahead of expectations perhaps.

  • Get our best 17 on the field, keep them fit and healthy and we are definately top 4 possibly top 2.  BA needed to show he was pissed yesterday. That was a shit house first half effort. You cant really blame ARTHURS for the first 15 minutes IMO... Except picking JENNINGS again in the NRL.

AS you have proven over many years COL, you read people and situations very well.

    • My perspective was the first half was trash ( and that’s also fact ) . I’d love to know what brad said in the sheds at half time

“ no more bbqs at my house unless you pull your fingers out of your arse “ mb ???

            • Thought we were friends .... ok

              • Being friends with Karen gives you insight into the Old demeneted one's Idiosyncracies (Not his idiochristacies) and a good defensive move Carlo.

      • My perspective is, thankfully I did not see the game.

But in watching the coaches presser he shoved some good perspectives on the line for the players to take note of.
