Perenara referee this week

Squeeze your sphincters and clear your throats because Henry Perenara is our head whistle blower this weekend.

That's right, the man with the clear agenda and who personally gives me the sh!ts with the way he tries to act like one of the boys will be in charge of the Eels Vs Panthers Sunday arvo game.

  • FMD, the kent needs to be kneecapped.

  • Doesn't matter who the refs are, the orders are given from the top to screw us.

    • We screw ourselves
  • As if we needed any extra help losing

  • Then you might as well put the Panthers down for a win! The Eels are highly unlikely to win anyway with the abysmal players attitude and the head coach’s lack of ability to correctly motivate, direct and technically guide his team.  Now that we know who the referee is for the game the Eels chance of an upset victory has just plummeted expedentially.

    • Interested in getting your understanding on how to correctly motivate a team?

I've managed teams for 15 years in business. It's not exactly the same as coaching, but pretty damn close.

For me there are limited number of things you can do when the whole team is down:

      1. Sack people not upto standard - we don't have that luxury

      2. Pay them a huge bonus to win

For me, I think we're at this point...

      3. Tell them to go out and have fun - enjoy themselves! F**k it. If we don't win this weekend we're not good for the year, so you might as well have some fun earning your $'s, When people have fun, they relax and try different things. It wouldn't hurt.

  • Can someone tell me if we were offside in that 3rd (4th?) tackle penalty on the weekend, where we had the Tigers trapped in their own 10m, we were looking really good.

From TV it looks like we were back 12m and Badger called on either Moses or Manu, who were not in the play. Shit call.

I thought at that point, we were muscling up, had some confidence in our game and were taking it to the tigers. From there, they dash down the other side of the park and scored a try in the next play. While only a single moment in the game, on the back of our fragile confidence, I thought that was a momentum swinger and confidence killer and that single penalty cost us the game.

    • I only saw from TV too, everyone on screen were definitely onside. Not sure about the rest, but I call BS on that penalty, along with so many other decisions.

  • No chance now of winning...
  • I think we could have had a chance in the Sharks and Tigers games if we had a fair go from the referees
