  • Parra will meet Penrith at no better time with the Pantheres origin players backing up 4 days after Origin 2. It won't be a perfect preperation for Penrith whilst we will be going in well rested with only Paulo backing up.

Hardly any injuries or suspensions, the eels should be a good betting chance with the start.

    • Chief, correct me if I'm wrong but the Panthers don't play the Eels 4 days after Origin 2. They don't play Eels until July 2nd which the Friday week. That's way more than 4 days. Its 9 days.

      • Origin is Sunday 27June, we play Penrith on Friday 2 July. Five day turnaround.

        • So no games this weekend?

            • What are they wearing?

            • What are they doing out of the kitchen anyway?

  • Cartwright and Kaufusi will be back in against Penrith after getting extra miniutes in reserve grade, they should be in great shape. I can see us winning this if we stick to what we do best; Going up the middle, running hard, dominating Penriths foward pack and create a platform for Moses, Gutho, D.Brown and Reed to cause havoc.

    • I saw BA stated Cartwright and Kafusi were dropped to get more minutes and has also reduced the minutes of each of his forwards for a few weeks now.  If so I think he has learnt from prior mistakes and hopefully we don't burn out late in the season as we have plenty of tough games coming up starting with Penrith.  I don't think Reed will be rushed for this reason and will be out for bit longer.

Penrith on the other hand have more origin players than ever before to manage, but unfortunately it is just proving how much depth they have.

With BAs new focus on managing fatigue, one would also assume BA has considered what happened with an inexperienced Dunster being thrown in last year. Could this be the reason for dropping Fergo as well.  To ensure Dunster has had time in first grade and we aren't caught out like lasts years final.  I wouldn't be surprised to see Fergo back soon.

Does anyone know if Pennisi plays on same side as Fergo? Could it be part of a plan to test different edge combos, Blake/Dunster and Fergo/Pennisi or another reserve centre.

I didn't watch the reserves game on the weekend but how did Fergo defend and would people prefer Fergo Pennisi or Fergo Blake on the edge.

      • Penisini plays right edge. He's a metre eater for sure. Powerful runner, will run over a defender if left one-on-one.

      • Penisni and Naiduiki were together. Fergo and Olfield were togther.
