Penrith Blues

I dont mean to have sour grapes but I do feel there is too much of a Penrith influence in the Team Selections.  Esp with Penrith Old boys in the Coaching ranks.   I am happy to have egg on my face but if Freddy and Alexander dont get it done ....there needs to be changes .

I feel sorry for Campbell Graham, Damien Cook.     Further it would have been interesting if RCG was fit if he would of made the team.......I think that would have been the story if he was fit and a non selection, thats just how the Media works....

Anyway time will tell................................but as always go the BLUES

  • .......but it's all about the club combinations. Fuck that. Luai is lucky. He is only in origin because he plays for Penrith.  He fucked NSW last year - rewatch if you doubt what i am saying. There are numerous better 6s in the game. Hynes should be starting, his absence sitting on the bench could add risk to NSW. Luai is the incumbent in a losing team.

      • Hynes is a running half. Just cause he organises the Sharks doesn't make him a natural organiser. If you watch his games you'll see his talent in fast running plays

        • I agreed with Clint. Its an actual reason why I do not think Sharks will win the comp with him at halfback. Hynes is a five-eight/fullback at his best. I am sure Hynes would be happy to just inject himself in attack when needed but let Cleary run the team. Personally, I do not think Hynes has the kicking game and genuine halfback traits to win the comp. Maybe he will develop it but currently I do not see it. Looking at history and all the recent halfbacks that won the comp, they are quite different to Hynes. The only anamoly is Hughes but that is because their 'halfback style' player was C Smith at hooker.

      • I think Hynes is fairly adaptable, he rarely had an organising role with the Storm.

  • I cannot bring myself to cheer on that flog Luai! I hope Qld knocks him out and Hynes has a blinder

    • I'm a NSW supporter and I can't stand him either. Imagine how much Queenslanders must hate him!

  • Shame that players from every NRL club are not represented based on current form for both Qld and NSW. I thought Hopgood deserved a spot in the Qld side.

  • I think this series should be a good one. Slater having his second shot at SOO. Tactical issues will be interesting. Slater came out on top pretty convincingly for a first time coach.I wonder if NSW will continue with the current coaching mob of we lose this one and who would be considered as an alternative.

    • I think Fitler should of gone after loosing last year.

      • He'll be gone if he loses this one.
