I find it interesting whenever Bevan French,s efforts and Performance in UK league are discussed he is constantly being discredited for being part of a 3rd-grade comp. Maybe a nice reality check?
No Tad, St Helen's are several classes above the rest in SL, including Wigan. They are not representative of the rest of SL. It is still a vastly inferior standard overall. Saints have won 4 premierships in a row and a Challenge Cup in that time. Even the St Helens would still only be a fringe too 8 team in the NRL.
The super league doesn't have the week in week out intensity of the nrl but the top 3 or 4 sides are quite good and this st Helen's outfit is the real deal for sure
I watch a fair bit of Super League and it is a sub standard comp. Brodie Croft is the reigning player of the year and Jai Field and Bevan French were stiff not to get it themselves.
St Helens had 2 hit outs over here in preperation and treated it like a grand final. Their line speed and intent in every thing they did showed it was a huge game for them. Penrith treated it as a glorified trial and it showed. We've seen guys like Will Hopate, Konrad Hurrell, Sione Matuatia over here for years and they dont have 25 weeks + finals of the quality in them. Good on them they lifted and got a much deserved result.
"Randy, I once had a doctor yell at a nursing attendant - probably could have been handled better - that there was no way I should be sitting in a waiting room with an obvious blood infection moving rapidly up a vein in my leg, and to get me on an IV…"

Glorious such glorious news
whose your daddy now
From what we've seen in the past week I'm certain the Penrith defensive rock wall was built by Ciraldo.
Without him they come back to the pack. Still a top 3 team but no standout
Actually, Penrith have some worrying signs. Especially at hooker and on the edge garner and kenny were horrible
Mitch Kenny was never going to give them what Api did.
To be fair St Helen's came off a successful season while some of the Penrith players we're having their first game
