Great to have Will back . Let in 2 costly tries with poor efforts , ran the ball like a prop running at centres , didn't want to contest any kick Moses put in .. just a bog average player we need some strike and athleticism next to Moses badly.
Semrani isn't the most skilled centre but his attention to detail , competitiveness and footy IQ leaves Will's for dead. Will is a problem .

Can't disagree with that take on Will. He did make 1 break i think even he was surprised. Their first try was fown to him being out of position instead of getting infront of the ball he got behind it and Mclean scored.
Samrani does good things though I noticed when we make a break he doesn't get into position on the next play. There was a time near the end of the game where Sam threw it away Samrani was 20 meters behind the play.. Not something you want to see..
he needs match fitness has been out for majority of the season. Hopefully comes good in the next few weeks.
He's needed match fitness for 4 seasons.
Sadly , he hasn't progressed to what those at the club thought he could become . With the speed of the game in 2026 it's got him really struggling defensivly and he doesn't have the speed , hands , footwork or arial ability you need in an outside back . He gives us rugby union style collision carries into the teeth of the defence but offers little else .
He is still carrying the injury, if you watch the play back he couldn't physically run back to cover the play.
I have no doubt someone can unlock his potential, he needs a mentor. We haven't had any strike in the centres since Jennings was here. He used to have a step, an offload, a fend at the line. I can't work out why he has put all of that away. There is a player in Penisini and a quality one at that. He needs some confidence again it will go a long way.
I disagree . The 2nd try you're talking about where he was gassed is actually the more excusable of the 2. The first one he stopped moving and watched the play . His poor defence contributes to 2+ try's against us every time he takes the field. He hasn't only stalled as a player he has regressed from when he started . If you believe there's a player there a change of scenery might be what he needs to.. I think it's pretty clear what he is at this stage and that's a battering ram .
On watching the replay back again, I agree he was wincing because he was gassed, not due to pain. Watched him very closely, he doesnt have the match fitness, he shoudlve played 40min of cup this week. Although in watching some of the line breaks Will was wide open on two occasions and Tuilagi passed left instead of right. Maybe it isnt a change of scenery for Will, he needs an actual Second Rower who can tackle and feed him some good ball. No excuse for the two tries yesterday, both were directly Will not being able to stop them.
If he is still carrying an injury, he shouldn't be playing.
I feel this is a confidence thing for him, he honestly will be a good player I have no doubt, he is suffering from some type of mental block, you can tell he is scared to do anything that isnt 100% maintain posession and ram the ball up field. I wouldnt have a clue on how to fix it for him, but its near identical to what is happening with the Canberra winger. Player lost him mojo and for whatever reason cannot get it back.
You said he is still carrying the injury. I replied if that's the case he shouldn't be playing.
I didn't think he was too bad today coming back from injury. But he just doesn't have the right physique, the game has sped up and as you said he's running it up like he's a prop.
