Peni Terepo - Forgotten?

What's going on with Peni? Anyone know?

I know he has horrible hands but he does a lot of good stuff too. He is the closest bloke we have had to Fui since he retired in the way he absolutely launches himself at the opposition and thumps blokes.

If we lose Paulo next year I don't see why he can't be in our 17. I love the bloke but am unsure whether he is always going to have AWFUL hands or if he can improve them.

He seems to understand his role as a prop in terms of go dead set flat out and skittle people!! He looks a touch bigger in pictures from what I have seen too.

  • Im still hopeing we keep Paulo so in saying that Peni can go

  • Mate if this guy can hold the ball, he'll be a pretty decent player. I think if he works hard he'll be up there.

To me he has the right attitude and he hits the line hard and has great leg speed.

    • Don't get me wrong CP I like Peni I do but if it come down who we keep and let go I keep  Paulo every time

    • Paul I agree with you there!
  • Id rather keep junior over peni any day of the week and twice on Sunday's
    • Yeah but Paulo is 600k Peni 250-300k. These numbers are just speculation. But of course Paulo is a lot better player then Peni.
  • He just had an operation in the off season.
He is returning his feet and hands to their original positions.
Hopefully it will go well, so he can start catching the ball for a freaking change.
  • Terepo = poor to average forward, doesn't bend the line or pass. Pass on him altogether. He should have been shipped off to Newcastle rather than Pauli however Pauli probably paid more and Terepo not in top 25.

    • Terepo would be top 25 for sure, albeit somewhere down the bottom. Pauli plays a different position to Terepo, so can't really compare. Under the new interchange you need 80 minute edge forwards, and ours are Ma'u and Scott. You need a backup on the bench (in case of injury) but that guy needs to be able to play in the middle as his regular job. Edwards, Moeroa and Gower have second row covered, plus they are all tough enough to play up the guts. Terepo only plays in the middle.

  • At least you tried. Lol
