I think the fact that we're just not very good is costing us dearly. On top of running out of ability after 10 mins, poor game plans, brain dead players, poor discipline and then never holding any of them to account afterwards is also costing us. Penalty goals are the least of our issues.
That said, why not, may as well take them when presented seeing as we're not real good at scoring tries.
Totally agree. The modern game seems to be take the two points when they are on offer. Considering our only other attacking play on the 5th is an up and under which the opposing fullback gets 10 times out of 10
a) because the Sharks had the game well won and completely went to sleep.
b) because we suck.
Also always take the 2 when up 2 in case of a penalty to tie the game. Plus if your up 4 with let’s say 2 to go you afford to give away penalty on your own line.
Also take the 2 when down 2 with over 15mins to go in the match. Then the opposition can’t intentionally give away penalty defending on the line.
Plus not taking the 2 when up shows you don’t back your defence.
Just take pharking 2 for once.
We are so down on confidence that you absolutely have to take the 2 at every chance. Our tries are not coming from a great set play we seem to have no idea how to create an overlap in the oppositions red zone only seem to score after a great individual offload so it’s a no brainer take the 2 every time.
