Peats or no peats???

There is a similar blog going round but I thought id be more specific.... Should peats be resigned???? I was and still am a big fan of peats and his tough approach. However... His injuries seem to be holding him back. Two seasons ago he was a gun attacking and defending. Late it seems he has been a little troubled. We signed peats on the back of his form as an attacking hooker behind Isaac Luke. He is in a case now where he has kaysa and king nipping at his heels as he is not the hooker we signed up for. What is everyone else's opinion

  • Keep him on, he adds the flare we need. I know a lot of people don't see it. But his little shift from left to right really set the defence off for Tepai to crash over. He made a few quick runs to snap up some metres. Probably iced up to not damage anything further (probably a niggle or two). In say that, I know where you are coming from and I see what you mean by are we really getting money for value.
  • I think Peats' value as both an attacker and defender is huge. I wouldn't be throwing massive dollars at him on an upgraded contract but I'd be doing my best to retain him. Or, we could always lure Matt Keating back bahahaha!
  • I'd have Norman and Jnr as the priority signings, and although Peats is currently our best 9, I don't think we'll be paying overs with King & Pritchard also at the club.

Wouldn't surprise if Peats signs elsewhere.
  • We'll beat Brisbane round one. We are round one specials!
  • Our Number 1 signing should be Norman number 2 should be Paulo number3 should be Peats

  • Agree fully on Norman and Paulo Paul but buddy I would hold out on Peats to see how he goes Injury wise a bit longer yet....but Norman definetly as quick as possible.Other clubs would be more then interested in him on form at the moment........
  • are King or Kaysa even in the top 25? how do we know if they have the goods if they wont play any first grade? so how do we let Peats go when the other two rarely see first grade and with IDG retiring? a bit risky.

PS My guess is Arthur Moses would have charged Parra no where near that, but is happy to get paid top price with Storm footing the bill......that 250k is for Moses, not…"
