He is worth 700 thousand for sure. He is a player on the up. Just heard that Darius Boyd is on 800 thousand a year and I know who I’d rather have in my team. Get it done Parra and Moses.
As much as I love Gutho, he is not worth $750k a year. That was demonstrated in the first half of this game, the game against the Knights and the game against the Roosters. When we are getting beat he will not turn a game around and win it for us. Gutho did not win us the game tonight and nor did Moses or Mahoney. It was a team effort but more than that we had a lot of luck with Frizzel and Norman getting injured because when they were on the field the Eels were well beat. That is a FACT!!!
Now is Gutho a good player, yes. Is he a great player, not quite but he may be one day but as of right now he is not one of the great players in the league, just one of the good ones. An offer of $650/$700k per season over three years with an option in the clubs favor for a forth with incentives for making representitive squads is a good offer.
No individual player ever wins games on their own, ever. That's a stupid argument.
And yes he is a great player.
