Fox Sports and Daily Telegraph rugby league journalist Paul Kent has been arrested on domestic violence charges.
According to Nine News, police were called to a home in Lilyfield in Sydney's inner West suburbs on Friday morning, after an incident involving a 52-year-old man and a 33-year-old-woman.
The pair were both arrested for their role in the altercation, with the woman subsequently released without charges.
Kent, who co-hosts the NRL 360 show on FOX League alongside former NRL star Braith Anasta, was reportedly arrested and charged with assault and with intentionally choking a person without consent.
Nine News added he will face court later this week.
One of the most outspoken and recognisable pundits in the NRL, Kent has been a regular co-host of NRL 360 since the show launched in 2013.
In March, Kent was embroiled in a war of words with Rugby Australia boss Hamish McLennan over Joseph Suaalii's move to rugby union.
Kent described rugby as a 'dead sport' and said McLennan needed to 'grow up and be a man.'
In the same month, he blasted Phil Gould as 'misguided' for urging the NRL to get rid of the independent doctor in the bunker.
More to follow.

birds of a feather ....
Oh wow I'm keen to see how this gets reported/swept under the rug
Haha , these outspoken flogs always come undone . First we get the privilege of watching Andrew OKeefe implode , now Kent . Similar personalities , equally as joyfull watching their misfortunes . Hopefully the bird uses every anti man bias laws available to her via the courts and destroys his life.

I'm gonna let that one through to the keeper but it's bad medicine
there is a tsunami of women losing their lives to assholes
I unfortunately need to be quite aware of info around this and choking a woman makes her more likely to be killed by a perp
violence against women is nothing to joke about
I'll now turn my attention to the bs white jerseys
Carlo you have no idea what's gone on here and Kent is allowed the same presumption of innocence as anyone else.
Any male who has a tendency to violence toward woman is a deplorable person but there are some women who do things that are equally deplorable toward men. Its obviously difficult for a women to beat up a man but some women commit acts of emotional, financial, verbal and spiritual abuse towards men that are just as terrrorising.
it's a very very small percentage of males that have any tendency of violence toward women
ME, that is as balanced and nuanced a reply as we have around here.
While it is a small percentage of men, the problem for women, when they meet a man is they do not know if he is a good one or a bad one and when the female is a bit cautious or apprehensive on approach by the male, some males are a bit put out. Having two daughter's of partner age, they tell me how it can be.
Thanks My Bob - you are one poster on here who I value the feedback of as I sense you are a fair minded person. As a father of a daughter not yet of the age to be dating I totally hear your comment.
I'd certainly argue that men are far more likely to be victims of emotional abuse and have far far less support. How many poor bastards do we know that have done nothing but work their arses off only to have their wife take off for someone else , take the house and assets , old mate has to fund her lifestyle via a percentage of his wage each month ( given he's also supporting his children however a percentage of wage is not a fair contribution especially when she's taken off ) , she can shack up with a new fella in his house , and also have a combined income of ten times what said make earns and he still has to pay her full tilt.
Male suicide figures are a direct result of these laws in the woman's favour. Amd women know they can leave when they please and be taken care of for the next 18 years . Males have zero protection in the marrage arrangemet. I've got a handful of mates that have been taken to the cleaners. I know one female that's been in an abusive relationship. And it was mostly non physical. He got a little bit physical once and we got her out of there quick smart .
You know one woman loses her life at the hands of a man almost per week in Australia
im not going here on a forum that has three active women posters and hundreds of men
its not the place
