The arrest of Roger Rogerson today took me back to the story of Newtown rugby league player Paul Hayward who was the brother in law of vicious Sydney crim, Neddy Smith, also an associate of Sydney detective Rogerson.

Richard Roxburgh is Rogerson and Tony Martin is Neddy Smith.

From memory Blue Murder wasn't able to be broadcast in the state for quite some time.

Rugby League Week did a story on him in 1985. He talked about missing his wife and kids, but in 1992 he overdosed.
