The Gold Coast Titans are expected to sack Paul Carter on Monday afternoon.
The NRL club will hold a press conference at 3pm (AEDT), where they will reportedly formally sack the back-rower.
It comes after Carter was picked up for drink driving at Surfers Paradise on Saturday morning - the second time he's been nabbed for driving under the influence this year, the Gold Coast Bulletin reports.
The former Canterbury junior played 21 games for Titans in the 2014 season.
He is the son of former Penrith great Steve Carter.

Steve would be absolutely gutted about this.
I know him being part of the AWU and he is / was one proud Dad.
He didn't rob a bank but needs to get his shit together.
Never heard of him.
He has already been sacked.Happened this arvo.
Like him as a player but seriously if a club sacks a player it should be an automatic 12 months suspension so no other club can sign them for that time
He hasn't been sacked but the board has notified him of their intention to terminate his contract. He has been given a chance to front the board next week, where they will make their decision.
