Pathetic

OK, I now use this term for a number of reasons.  Firstly, this team was playing for a top four position.  Effort was there, but execution was simply pathetic.  Players earning hundreds of thousands that apparently can't anticipate a game breaking off load.  Not once, but on a number of occasions during this game.  We should have won this game by 20 but the good old lame arse comes back.  Now don't even start me with the good olf NRL and their agenda.  They don't want us there.  Multiple, blatant florward passes not called, offsides not called, and now, even with multiple video replays, a player clearly crops the ball when attmepting to score a try evn thought MMs boot did not touch or interfere with the ball. Sadly, we will not win a premiership whilst the current grub is running the game.   All that said in my rant, this team has improved and credit to them for doing so, but we are still a long way off the mark, aside from a fluke. FACT.

  • Terrible game, and some players there tonight do not deserve to be picked again. Evans did ok in the first half but where was he in the 2nd half?  Tepai played fair but we needed more grunt up front.  Sadly to me Gower had little impact and I think he should retire end of year, Alvaro a reggies player   Why was Peni not picked?

We will lose Nathan  Brown for at least 4 weeks over his dumb shoulder charge, if Mahoney is not an 80minute 9 than we need a proper utility for the bench for him to have a break, in tonights game he was good in first half but 2nd half was down, what has happened with the DB and Lane combination where Lane was able to run off Brown on the edge and make ground, he's no more than a lanky prop these days.  Manu needs to chew some gum and attach to his hands, his primary problem tonight was his dropped ball.

My hope is that the Wenty team will provide some answers and the young big boys need to be given time on the bench, along with Stone as he can be Mahoney's replacement.

    • I have supported Alvaro but am now starting to agree. His post contact metres must be close to zilch.

      • No it’s negative

  • The refereeing is diabolical and corrupted to the core!

    • Yep . disgraceful!

  • I am truly happy with the improvemts in the team, but IMO opinion MM needs far more guideance and leaderhip to convert his obvious skills to those of a great half.  He has the talent but is far from where he needs to be.  As for all the dreamers, posting about a premiership, I will scream as loud as an of you, if it happens, but in all honesty, my opinion is this team, whilst impoved abd whilst talented willl not make it even close to the GF!

    • Dylan Brown needs to be involved in the game,  its no good having a 9 and replace him at DH for the fullback to come up into that spot, it weakens us as Gutho cannot read when to get involved, where does he play in defence? does he resume the 1 spot and if so who covers the 9's spot?

Things should improve when splat nose returns next week.  We need to have a decent replacement for lock next week as well, as we wont have NB for a few weeks, would suggest Kafusi as the one to go there as he's been playing in that spot for some time now at Wenty.

  • Image result for brad arthur

  • Shut up and settle down.

It was a great game let down by Gutho and Mahony.

    • You must be kidding right? I'm just home from watching a terrible game of footy, that was crap. We will go nowhere in the semi's playing that level of footy.
