Parras performance

Can anyone shed some light on the last 4 games. Is there a culture problem at eels? The players barely look like they are trying, they dont trust each other in defence and dont look too disappointed at fulltime after losingAre the players unhapppy with certain desicions, the coach or playing group in general?

  • They are too comfortable atm, changes need to occur. They know they will be picked next week and they are getting paid at the end of the day so what is the difference to them

I thought terepo was one of our best today. Hes a player that is playing for his career and that mentality just isnt being shown throughout the team

We were good last year because the players were on notice especially after the whole sandow debacle, no one was safe. The no rubbish approach BA use to take is non existent anymore.

  • 3 quick tries to warriors killed us same as last week.
  • They just good at training thats it we wont win many games this year sadly
    • They couldnt be too good at training, only the fan boys who watch them think that.

  • Train like Tarzan... Play like Jane
  • It has nothing to do with culture. We are simply not strong enough with our first up contact in the middle third and there is a flow on effect from that from the ensuing tackles. Take a look at how many times our middle defenders aren't back at marker when our opposition are playing the ball. They're generating quick play-the-balls because we're not winning the ruck the same way. Terepo was wonderful at this last year, De Gois and Peats were also major players in this unheralded aspect of our defensive structure and Kenny Edwards was influential when he came onto the right edge. Barring Terepo, all of those players have not been in an Eels NRL jersey so far in 2017.

Additionally our last tackle options haven't been great because everyone knows to rush Corey Norman. Corey Norman needs another genuine kicking option out there supporting him on the last plays. So someone else either needs to step up, or we need to secure Moses for this year.

If we can address these two aspects of our game, we'll start winning the field position contest again and start looking like the team we did last year. Part of that is personnel returning from injury & suspension (and even recruitment), the other part is tactics. They're small changes, but will make the world of difference in the contest.

  • there something wrong with them don't know what but there is it come out soon

  • We have no intensity at all and we are not wining the ruck in any game, first 2 games we ran hard we hit hard we had line speed. Manly and St George forwards really fired up and we responded with great perfformances, not sure what has happened since. Ever since our forwards have been gone missing, we are dropping balls, passing forward from dummy half, kicking out on the full stupid simple errors that are inexcusable for first graders. We can turn it around it's all attitude
  • paul kunts early Dally M winner ...corey...needs to piss his new look earrings off....just when we needed him to stand up & control the game.. he failed big time...was totally useless & his kicking was ridiculously negative ....we badly need a another quality play maker option...lets just hope Moses doesn't renege....

  • Too many islanders
