"Rather Samrani! Does seem odd given the speculation of swapping him for old Barnett. Penisini can be really great at times and then really off at other times. Samrani has been very impressive and seems very strong and determined which is what Parra…"

"I really like Samrani but if JR decides to give him up for MB I think that is a massive mistake.
IMO Samrani should be 1st drop for either centre/ wing if one of our starters is out. Brian Kelly is bog average and not going to get better.

Agree McCraken, Dymock, Pay, Smith also to me were great buys but nothing will ever beat the two diamond buys of Parra's history-Carl Webb and Ben Roberts, great, great buys
Steve Edge, Jack Gibson.
Agreed Gibson and I'll throw in Beetson
+1 for Steve Edge...
Whilst the Canterbury 4 were pivotal in turning the mid 90's horror show that was the Eels in to a respected team, at the end of the day, we didn't win a premiership with those blokes on board. For that reason, I think Steve Edge is the man. He came from a successful hard nosed outfit and helped turn Parra in to the same. No doubt his leadership would have been invaluable to those young blokes like Sterling, Kenny, Grothe and Ella in those first few premisership years.
really cant go past those 4...Tahu in his first run was amazing too.
All our 2005 recruits, but in particular glenMorrison
Nathan Hindmarsh.
Wasn't he an eels junior?
